"Don't sweat it," his best friend Mia said. "Just go in there, be cool as a cucumber, and break a leg!"

James sighed. "Easier said than done. This director is a hard nut to crack."

As he stepped into the audition room, he was all ears, hanging on to the director’s instructions. The scene was intense—an emotional monologue about lost love. James knew he had to nail it because actions speak louder than words.

He performed with such passion that even the assistant director muttered, “A picture is worth a thousand words.”

When he finished, the director stood up and clapped. “That was the best thing since sliced bread! You’ve got the part!”

James couldn't believe it. "Get out of town!" he gasped.

Mia grinned when she heard the news. "See? I told you it would be a piece of cake!"

Overjoyed, James went to celebrate—but as he glanced at his bill, he realized his meal had cost an arm and a leg. "Ouch," he muttered. "Better late than never to start saving money."

The next day, he met his co-star, Olivia. She was born with a silver spoon in her mouth, yet she was humble and kind. But the director still had his doubts. "You can’t judge a book by its cover," James whispered.

Rehearsals began, and Olivia amazed everyone. "Our chemistry is bread and butter," James joked.

Then, just days before opening night, James fell ill. "I’m feeling under the weather," he groaned.

The director panicked, but Mia reassured him. “Hold your horses. He’ll be fine.”

James recovered just in time for the premiere, though nerves still gnawed at him. "What if I mess up?" he whispered.

"Don’t cry over spilled milk," Olivia replied with a wink.

At the curtain call, the applause was deafening. James beamed. Becoming an actor had seemed possible only when pigs fly—but here he was.
